Hello! Just a quick update to let you know I am alive and well, and so is Jen Jesseph Photography! We have had a wonderful fall, winter and spring here in Knoxville - the fall colors and the spring blooms are simply amazing. We are finding our way around, the kids are settled in school, and the many house projects are slowly getting crossed off even as new ones pop up (ah, the joy of older homes).

The good news is that Jen Jesseph Photography has reopened here in Knoxville! I have thoroughly enjoyed my break, but I am so excited to get back to doing what I love!

Along with our new town is a brand new website and blog which we are finally ready to unveil! I blame the delay on the impossible chore of picking images - there are so many I love and wish that I could include them all!

My new website is www.jenjesseph.com and my new blog is www.jenjessephphotography.com/blog. PLEASE NOTE that it is a NEW blog, and this one will no longer be updated. Please update your bookmarks and feeds.

To all my Dallas area clients, I am making a quick trip next week! I will be sending out an e-mail this afternoon with details, but if for some reason you don't receive it and are interested in a mini-session, let me know. There will be a limited number of sessions offered, first come first served.

To all of my Colorado clients, we are tentatively planning a trip for July, so mark your calendars! I will be sending out a note regarding sessions sometime in early June.

I have some new contact information so please update your records:

So long, farewell...

Goodbye Dallas! Knoxville here we come!

I have tried to let everyone know beforehand, but if I happened to miss anyone I am so sorry - it is not that you aren't important to me, it is more likely due to me being a loony mess getting ready for this move!

To my wonderful clients, associates and friends: Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have all made my time in Dallas so very special, I hope we cross paths again someday. Please stay in touch, I would love to know how you and your families are doing. Look me up if you are ever near Knoxville!

To Texas Summer Heat: See ya. You will not be missed.

Website down

Yes, I am still here and alive! I have lots to update, but wanted to quickly let everyone know that my website was accidentally erased (I see some of you knowingly shaking your head at me and smiling, but I swear I didn't do it!) :)

We are looking to get a simple page up in the meantime. The good news is that a great new site is in the works! I am so excited!
You can still reach me at jen@jenjessephphotography.com or 469-235-9866.

Lots of images from wonderful clients and other big news coming soon! Stay tuned...

Sweet

I know I overuse the word "sweet" or one of it variations - sweetness, sweetie, sweetie pie, sweet cheeks - you get the picture. But how could I not use that adjective on a baby as cute as this??

You may remember this session from last fall - HERE

She is the SWEET baby that was still on the way. Well worth the wait, no?

Big hearts

When I hear of couples that are adopting my heart just smiles. When a baby or child is brought together with a family that has been longing, wanting, waiting - that is an event that is just as miraculous as a birth.

This is one of my son's teachers and her newly adopted miracle. This says it all :)

I just adore the look on dad's face...pure love, awe, and happiness all mixed together.

Well Hello little man!

Photobucket

I love images like this because it feels like a sneak peek into their world. I also love that they obviously have an appreciation for photography and understand how important it is to preserve family memories!

Photobucket

I have so many I want to share, but I will leave with this one. It reminds me of when my boys were babies themselves. I would get so close and just stare at all of their amazing little features. Beautiful.

Beauties

Everyone knows I love black and whites, but once I started looking at these in color I couldn't resist showing them that way! This gorgeous mom and daughter looked amazing in the early evening light.

Six years ago today...

I was blessed with Noah.

It took some begging to get this picture, but this is him, today. Six. Wearing his Kansas Jayhawks shirt that he knows his dad loves.Photobucket

He is the sunshine in our family, always bringing joy, smiles and laughter even on the roughest of days. He is kind, caring and always thinking about things much bigger than his six year old world.

He adores his big brother, loves to snuggle, tends to kick and punch in his sleep, loves all things Star Wars (ask him anything, he knows it). Wishes candy was good for you, loves his friends, loves to play, loves to wrestle, loves practical jokes. Doesn't like mushy food, living in tornado alley, hurting peoples feelings. Hates anything pink/ponies/princess related (but likes girls who wear sparkly stuff). His favorite colors are green, white, yellow, black, silver and blue (one for each year). He wants to work in a candy factory when he grows up. Or be a spy. He wants to have eight kids if his wife says it is O.K. and he wants to live by his mom.

As you so sweetly and genuinely tell me, I will tell you - Noah, I love you all the days and all the nights. Although I want to freeze time as it is right now, I also can't wait to see the man you become. I think you are, and will be, spectacular.

My job is HARD

Seriously. :)

Do you know how hard it is to pick favorites when a family is this gorgeous?? Even harder when they turn out to be some of the nicest people I have ever met!

I am loving these in black and white but I had to post one in color because he is just so beautiful.

Please note:
We will be closed March 13th through the 16th! I will return all calls and e-mails as soon as possible upon my return. Have a great weekend!

BUT, before I go, I wanted to share a sweet new member of this world, Molly. 10 days old.

Mom is smitten, who could blame her?

Do you think we had fun?

I would say so! There was a belly full of giggles that morning for sure.

These are a good example of images that would look great in a series together.

Sweet little sis took a little encouraging that morning, but look how great she did! So very adorable! It was so funny that when she would refuse to sit or stand somewhere, as soon as she saw big sis do it she was right behind her! Hey, a girl had a right to change her mind! :)

Throwing fuzzy ones into the mix

You know, PETS! If you think toddlers have a mind of their own, that is nothing compared to our furry friends. I am often willing to give it a shot, but as I just mentioned dogs are often more interested in anything other than the camera.

Photobucket

But, sometimes we get lucky and catch them for a split second.
Photobucket

Even kids have their own ideas, which almost always end up being fun (especially if you have willing siblings).
Photobucket

Thanks H family for a great time!

I always love seeing old clients! I first met these great kids last year, and they sure haven't lost their ability to have fun! We picked up right where we left off and started the craziness right away!

Cousins

In December I had such a great time photographing these sisters and their kids! I always think cousins are such a fun dynamic and really have special relationships. It is so great that these sisters who live in different states are really making an effort to make sure their kids know each other!

The sisters (gorgeous, right??)

We found a little patch of woods near their home and had the best time exploring, playing, and throwing leaves!
